Terbang ke Siem Reap Part 3

Salam,

This is part 3 and the last part of my Siem Reap trip. You can click here for Part 1  and here for part 2.

Day 3

Lepas dah melawat temple. Jadi penat sangat so kami bangun lambat pagi hari ketiga ni. Pastu jalan-jalan area dekat2 pub street saja. Santai. Pagi makan aiskrim kat Blue Pumpkin. I had rocky road and mint chocolate flavors. Cost me USD 3.20. Then, we walked around looking for souvenirs, to the pub street, old market, made in cambodia market, and art market.

Akak ni boleh cakap melayu. Senang tawar menawar. Asal dia dari Kampong Cham.

Entrance Old Market

Souvenir yang di jual di  kedai ArtBook berhampiran Old Market.

Air tebu + limau jeruk. Sedap! Harga: 2000 riel

Akak jual air tebu.

Had our lunch at Muslim Family Kitchen again. Love the Fish in Morning Glory that we ordered it again. The whole time we were there, the restaurant play Lagi Syantik by Siti Badriah at least 4 to 5 times on repeat. The song stayed in my head the whole day.

After lunch, we decided to visit Artisan d'Angkor. Here you can see the making of craft, paintings, and carvings by the locals. The entrance fee is free, but at the end of the tour route you'll be entering shops selling all the craft you've seen made there.

Then we went back home before getting ready to my most favourite part of this trip. Smile of Angkor show. It is quite far from our AirBnb. Near to street 60. The show feature the story of Khmer Empire from past to present. It tells how the Angkor Wat was built, the delicate apsara dance and its significance, the life of people back then and so much more. Highly recommended to watch the performance. They brought life to the carvings all around the temples. We booked this show thru Klook and cost us RM112. It provided tuk-tuk from your hotel but return trip you have to book yourself.

Dengan bendera Malaysia

We had our dinner at Stall 62, at street 60 night market. This night market is where the locals go. They don't really speak English well but a guide bringing another Malaysian group here help us to order.

Agak susah nak carik since tuk-tuk driver kami bukan muslim, jadi kami tunjuk gambar signboard ambil kat blog orang, tapi dah tukar dah signboard dia dengan ni.

Daging bakar cicah budu. Sedap! Kami order 3 pinggan kecil tambah air mineral 2 botol, total USD12.50.

Day 4

We were up early for our ride back to airport. We had airport transfer arranged by our host and cost us USD13. I guess you can get cheaper option using tuk-tuk. And with that ends our trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia.

I love the ambiance of Siem Reap, and would love to go here again. It is definitely the low season because there were fewer tourist from what I had expected. The people are nice and very helpful. We used tuk-tuk as our main transportation. Halal food are easily found around Kampong Stoung Thmey or Masjid An Neakmah area.

Go early to the temples to avoid big crowds, usually from tours group. I really enjoyed my time there and inshaAllah will be back again. Till then :)
